Our Community

Learning Beyond Our Centre

At Happy Days, we believe children are active members of their community. Through regular excursions, community engagement and meaningful partnerships, children develop a strong sense of belonging and connection to the world around them.

Whether we're walking to the local beach, visiting parks, train spotting, exploring the library, or saying hello to the local ponies, our children are encouraged to discover their community through real-life experiences. Even our youngest learners are part of the adventure, enjoying outings safely in our six-seater pram and taking in the sights and sounds of the world around them.

These experiences build confidence, curiosity, social skills and an appreciation for the community they are part of.

Community Connections & Partnerships

At Happy Days, community engagement extends beyond excursions and outings. We are committed to building meaningful partnerships that enrich children's learning and foster kindness, empathy and social responsibility. Through our partnership with BUPA Bonbeach Aged Care, children participate in regular intergenerational experiences that build confidence, communication skills and a sense of belonging. We also welcome a variety of incursions and community visitors, including emergency services, dental professionals and local organisations, helping children develop an understanding of the important roles people play within our community. Through initiatives such as our Community Pantry, family library, winter coat drives and nappy donation programs, children experience the value of helping others and learn what it means to be an active and caring member of their community.
